Quote of the Day

by Charles Pooter

“It's hard to escape the conclusion of Jemma Freeman, the managing director of cigar importers Hunters and Frankau and a keen cigar smoker herself, that the government does not really want us to meet in public places any more, and would much rather we all stayed home and vegetated in front of the television instead.”

remove outdoor clothes,
replacing with silky velvety le smoking jacket, settle into solid but soft chair in a quiet room, hopefully containing many books, and then ENJOY your smoke in pleasant peace.

for once the govt is correct.
don't do a good thing Out There with the rabble.

Ann,

Sounds good but I no longer smoke! Bad for the health, so they say.

Charles.

drat!
I was so distracted by my vision of Jemma kicking-back with a big old imported stogie, that I forgot to preface comment with:

Dear Jemma, please do as the govt suggests and stay home with your coronas.
