Reperations For The Decendants Of Slaves -

by Ted Hoffman

- a view that nobody actually holds

A quick straw poll of the responses on the BBC's 'have your say' message board, reveals that only fractionally more than no-people-at-all think that compensation should be paid to decendants of slaves.

I can't say that I've ever met in person someone who holds the opinion either.

Holding a minority viewpoint does not of course make you wrong.

Though, I think it is comforting to remember, that whilst there are no doubt many irritating and silly ideas held by large numbers of people; there are some irritating and silly ideas that, despite their publicity, are actually held just by The Archbishop of Canterbury and a handful of BBC talking heads.
